5 tips to help you achieve your goals in 2017

It is a new year and a new chapter in your life. We say goodbye to 2016 and whether you feel you had a good or bad 2016, you can take all your experiences from the past year into the new one. We know many of you will want to smash your goals this year so we have written a few tips below to help you achieve them.

  1. WRITE YOUR GOALS DOWN AND READ THEM DAILY

 Its all good having goals but if you don’t have them written on paper there wont be much power behind them. Having your goals written down so you can visualise them is a powerful tool most people don’t use and it is a crucial part in achieving them. Reading your goals first thing when you wake up and last thing before you go to sleep is great to keep you reminded and your subconscious mind will be constantly taking action on these goals without you even realising.

  1. MANAGE YOUR TIME EFFECTIVELY

 Procrastination is something we all suffer with from time to time, like taking part in activities that we know we shouldn’t be, when there is important things to do. Time is a very important asset and it is one that we cannot get back. Managing your time effectively is a crucial skill you need in order to achieve your goals this year. Always plan your day, set a to do list and take action, this will make sure you're not wasting time on unnecessary things.

  1. DON’T BE AFRAID OF WHAT OTHERS THINK

 I believe this is very important, if you have a goal or a dream then go for it. Don’t worry about what others think, you can't please everyone. The only person you need to please is yourself to be happy. People may give you advice but evaluate it and make sure it's the right advice for you, never let someone talk you out of something you truly want to do. You are the decision maker. Take action on your goals and don’t look back. We promise this will be great for you in 2017.

  1. ALWAYS STAY POSITIVE NO MATTER WHAT!

Despite all the goals we set, it likely there will be setbacks and adversity that we must face. It can get hard and draining when achieving some of your goals but this is life. Life will throw us obstacles from time to time but it is a chance for you to test yourself, every obstacle or setback you may face is a chance for you to learn and grow which you need in order to progress. So stay positive at all times and be consistent and you certainly will have achieved your goals come the end of the year.

  1. REWARD YOURSELF: HAVE FUN

 Make sure you always try to have fun with what you do. Working hard relentlessly towards your goals is great but we must have the right balance between work and rest. You can make your goals fun for example by setting monthly goals where if you achieve them you can treat yourself, but whatever you do always make sure you create a balance, taking a little time off and having some fun wont hurt anyone.
